Mission

The Business Developer, will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Avesta's battery energy storage solutions in Spain. Your mission is to identify opportunities and / or potential customers, grow these opportunities and / or customer relationship, convert them into purchase orders and hence generate revenue, while contributing to the ongoing innovation in the Lithium battery energy storage space. With a target in annual order intake, you will directly influence the company's market position and long-term success. This role requires abilities across the whole commercial process and involves extensive travel throughout the defined territory and remote communication with headquarter management and support teams.

As a Business Developer, you will work autonomously, leveraging your experience and expertise to shape the business for Avesta in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop leads and convert them into worthwhile opportunities.
  • Identify, develop and convert opportunities into purchase orders while following the Company commercial process.
  • Develop and manage the pipeline of opportunities to ensure its good health and meet the required purchase order targets.
  • Grow Avesta’s brand and product awareness in Spain by promoting our Lithium battery energy storage solutions to new and existing customers and to new and existing applications.
  • Contribute to Avesta market and application knowledge by staying informed and communicating about the Lithium battery energy storage market, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Work closely with internal teams (technical, product, marketing) to ensure seamless delivery of tailored solutions to customers.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or any relevant degree associated in business development or sales management.
  • Experience in battery energy storage, electrical systems, or similar technical fields, with a proven track record of business development in project-based environments.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to manage the full commercial cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
    • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, competition, and customer needs.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Experience in dealing with small to large-scale projects and industrial clients.
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Spain and potentially to Avesta head-quarter.
